Kachemak Bay and is known to be quite an artsy community. There are several art galleries in town to see as well as great halibut fishing. You can also go tide pooling, take nature walks, sea-kayaking, hike, mountain bike and find a great Alaskan meal. A unique feature of Homer is that the only vehicles needed in this little town are boats.
Lands End Resort is a beautiful stay at the very end of the ‘Homer Spit’ a long narrow strip of land that juts out into the Kachemak Bay. Beautiful sights and well worth a stop.
